ROCKET SUMMER

HOCKEY PROGRAM

In June and July, a group of returning and prospective Rockets took part in the Rockets Summer Hockey Program.  The players put in over 18 hours of ice time and 12 hours of dryland training and team building to prepare for the season ahead.  The Rockets also competed in the Kasson Summer High School League and played 12 games against other conferences and area teams

GENE SACK MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING

On July 9th, 2010, we'll be trading our skates and sticks for spikes and putters. We cordially invite all Rockets, wherever they may be, to take to the links and join us at the Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester for the Annual Gene Sack Memorial Golf Outing. In what has become a great tradition of the program, the outing offers players, alumni, family, and fans a great opportunity to enjoy a great day with old acquaintances, keep in touch with the hockey program, and ensure your team's continued success.  The 2009 outing was our most successful to date with over 130 golfers.  For information on golfing our sponsoring the 2010 outing, please contact

KIWANIS TOURNAMENT

On December 28, 29, and 30th, the Rockets will compete in the 15th annual Kiwanis/Wells Fargo Hockey Festival in Rochester. Twenty-four teams from Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin participate in the festival.  Last year over 3000 fans came out to support the three day event.  Check out the schedule page for more information on game times and opponents.

HOCKEY DAY ROCHESTER

Following an outstanding experience participating in the 2009 “Hockey Day in Minnesota” in South   St. Paul, the Rockets wanted to bring some of the fun of that game back to Rochester.  To add to the hockey tradition in our great town, January 23rd will mark the first “Hockey Day in Rochester.”  The Rockets and Mayo Spartans boys team will face off outdoors at the Graham Park at the Fairgrounds Sports Complex, along with a number of other girls and youth games. Bundle up and come out on the 23rd to prove what a great hockey town Rochester is and enjoy the game the way it used to be played…in the great outdoors.

For more information on the game or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Coach Lecy or Coach Skovbroten.  Television broadcasting for this game has already been secured.
